Delta Electronics Extends ATEX Certification in the CliQ Series of Power Supply

Delta’s CliQ and CliQ II DIN rail power supply and module series have more models now certified according to ATEX Directive 94/9/EC with group II, category 3G (Zone 2), nA or nA nC type of protection, IIC with T4 temperature class according to IEC/EN 60079-0 and IEC/EN 60079-15. The popular CliQ product family also obtains Class I, Division 2 (group A, B, C & D. temperature class T4) approval according to ANSI/ISA–12.12.01 and CSA C22.2 No. 213 which are applicable for use in hazardous locations within North America. 

 

In order to achieve the said certifications and safety approvals, the products must adhere to the design guidelines covering component types, layout and conformal coating requirement on the PCBA.

 

Delta CliQ and CliQ II series offer universal input voltage with great features like no de-rating for the entire input voltage range and built-in Power Boost of 150% for up to 5 seconds. Such feature enables reserve power to be always available for reliable startup of loads with high inrush current without the need of a more expensive power supply at higher power rating. The CliQ II series of DIN rail modules are designed to work seamlessly with Delta’s CliQ range of power supplies and in most applications that can accommodate DIN rail power supplies.
