Bangkok, Thailand, June 19-22, 2019- Delta Electronics (Thailand) PCL. showcased its portfolio of industrial automation products and solutions for Industry 4.0 applications at the Manufacturing Expo 2019 at BITEC, Bangkok. Delta highlighted its smart manufacturing solutions that integrate communications and devices including Robots, Vision Inspection System, HMIs, PLCs Servo Motors and Drives to over 85,000 industrialists in ASEAN seeking to empower their manufacturing.

Delta highlighted its smart manufacturing solutions in a unique demonstration that combined its process devices, robots and control products on a mini automated production line. Customers can implement Delta’s automation solutions like this on their production lines to make massive gains in productivity, optimize costs and be competitive in the rapidly globalizing and technology-driven manufacturing landscape.
Delta’s smart manufacturing solution demonstration enabled automated sorting and packing tasks to dramatically reduce manpower and human error while increasing speed in the following steps:
- Loader: Loads products delivered by an Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) onto a conveyor belt to feed to the production line.
- SCARA Robot: Performs pick and place of the products on to the production line.
- Vision Inspection System: Uses cameras to capture images of the products and communicate this data to the articulated robot.
- Six-axis Articulated Robot: Uses information relayed from the Vision Inspection System to sort products in trays according to product type.
- Wireless and Ethernet Communication Devices: Helps machines at each station to communicate smoothly throughout operations and allows communication with other factory locations and devices.
At the Delta booth, Mr. Kasemson Kreuatorn, Delta’s Senior Regional Manager for industrial automation, used the demonstration and product displays to explain to visitors how Delta’s innovative portfolio including the Industrial Cloud Router, HMIs, PLCs and High Performance Compact Drives seamlessly integrate with Robots and Sensors to offer Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions. Users can leverage these solutions for precise and energy-efficient control in metal and plastic processing, assembly, inspection and packaging applications.
